Dongdaemun History and Culture Park is a park located at 281 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, established on the site of the old Dongdaemun Stadium. It is a theme park that showcases the history and culture of Seoul, and a complex cultural space where you can experience modern design and culture, also serving as a resting place for citizens. Opened in October 2009, relics such as a part of the Seoul fortress wall from the Joseon Dynasty, the site of the Haedo Office, and the Training Office have been excavated and are preserved and displayed throughout the park. Public transportation is recommended for convenience. It is located 26m on foot from Exit 1 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, Subway Line 2, 4, and 5. Parking is available at the park’s parking lot or nearby paid parking lots. The fees and operating hours of the parking lot inside the park may vary, so it’s advisable to check before your visit. As parking spaces may be limited, using public transportation is recommended.
